Sunken Cabin Cruiser Recovery in University

Buyers kept walking away from the 27 ft Chris-Craft Commander 27 because of a fuel smell that never cleared. She lived in a marina slip, and one night a hose clamp gave out. In the morning, the deck was awash with the bow slightly up, and the marina office was not happy.
The office was the obstacle. They wanted the slip cleared fast but also wanted a spill plan before we touched anything. So the crew boomed the hull, drained the tanks into containers, and handed over the paperwork. Only then did we float her with lift bags from a skiff.
A short tow took her out of the slip and over to the ramp. Two tanks were corroded, and the fuel lines were brittle. The marina got its slip back, and we took the Commander to our yard for dismantling and recycling. Salvage of the hardware was minor. Five hours of sunken boat removal on site, with the extra time spent on the fuel.

Crews cover Hillsborough County: Apollo Beach, Bloomingdale, Brandon, and Cheval. When a boat goes under in University, photos and a rough depth are usually enough to plan the job, and most recoveries here are scheduled within the same week. Our crew arrives with lift bags, a skiff, and a trailer, and the owner does not need to coordinate anybody else. Send over the photos and we will explain what lifting it takes.
