Sunken Cuddy Cabin Recovery in Wesley Chapel

A failed bilge switch and a week of afternoon storms finished the 23 ft Rinker 232, which already had gelcoat crazed like a road map. The cuddy cabin filled slowly, and the owner found it with the deck awash and the bow slightly up in its slip.
Access was the obstacle. The slip sat at the end of a narrow finger pier, nowhere near a crane, and hoses would have blocked the dock. So we worked from the water, which is how sunken boat recovery goes in a tight marina. A diver rigged slings, we floated lift bags under the gunwales, and the crew bailed the cabin as it rose.
Once it floated, a short tow took it to the public ramp, where we loaded it on a trailer for the run past Land O Lakes. Total time on site was about half a day. The hull and engine were worth saving, so the Rinker went to a repair yard for a new bilge setup. That is a salvage, not a scrap job.

Crews cover Pasco County: Holiday, Hudson, Jasmine Estates, and Land O Lakes. A boat that sinks in any of these communities, we have a crew picked inside seven days: you send pictures and a depth, we send back a plan, and the bags and the tow go on the calendar when access opens. Nearly every job here wraps before dark on the day we start.
