Sunken Cuddy Cabin Recovery in World Golf Village

Crazing ran across the gelcoat of the 23 ft Rinker 232 like a road map, and the owner admitted he had not been aboard in two years. A rain cell in a bad week pushed enough water into the cuddy cabin that the deck went awash with the bow slightly up in its slip.
Fuel aboard was the obstacle. About ten gallons sat in the tank, and the marina office insisted on a clean job. We drew it off through a sealed line, wrapped the hull in sorbent boom, and set lift bags under the gunwales. The Rinker rose level, and the cabin drained over the side.
We were on site about half a day. After a short tow to the ramp, the trailer carried the boat toward Ponte Vedra and a repair yard. The hull had crazing but no structural damage, so the crew called it a salvage and the yard started on the cabin the next week. The slip was clean when we left, and sunken boat recovery in a marina depends on that.

Crews cover St. Johns County: Palm Valley, Elkton, Hastings, and Ponte Vedra. Whenever a boat is lost to the water in this area, we line up the work inside the week: share the photos and depth, review the plan, and we book the bags and the tow for the first open ramp or dock. Typically the crew is done and gone by the end of that day.
