Antelope, CA: 14 ft Jon Boat Gone in One Morning

A 14 ft Jon boat 1436 had been sitting in a driveway in Antelope for three years. The aluminum hull was dented along both sides, and someone had used it as a yard waste bin, half full of branches, dirt, and leaves. No trailer underneath it, just blocks and settled ground. The boat was heavy, stuck, and tight between a fence and a shed. We couldn't get a flatbed in from the street, so we brought in a crane and a smaller recovery truck. The crew drained what water had pooled inside, pulled the debris out by hand, then lifted the hull straight up and loaded it sideways onto the truck. The whole job ran under two hours. We hauled it to the metal recycler in Sacramento County, where the aluminum got sorted and processed. The driveway was clear by early afternoon. Crews cover all of Sacramento County: Sacramento, Elk Grove, Arden-Arcade, Citrus Heights, Folsom, Rancho Cordova. We handle pickups same week in most cases, and we're used to the seasonal moves people make in and out of storage around the valley. Antelope sits right in the middle of our regular route, so getting your Jon boat loaded and out doesn't mean waiting around.
