Hauling a bass boat out of a Apple Valley driveway

A 17 ft Tracker Pro 170 had been parked in a driveway in Apple Valley for three years. The carpet was peeled up inside the hull, the livewell lid was gone, and both trailer tires were flat. The owner had kept meaning to deal with it, kept not dealing with it, and finally called us when he decided he was done looking at it every morning. The real problem wasn't the boat itself. It was the trailer wedged tight between a fence and a storage shed, with maybe eighteen inches of clearance on either side. The driveway sloped slightly, and those flat tires meant the whole rig had settled. We brought a rotator truck and a light crane to lift the trailer frame just enough to clear the obstacles, then winched it straight back onto the truck bed. Most of a morning, start to finish. The Tracker went to the metal recycler in San Bernardino County, where the aluminum hull and frame get separated and processed. No title in the drawer, handled per the California rules.
