Somebody in Oak Harbor kept meaning to fix the Four Winns before selling it, and then five more winters happened. The outdrive had cracked from freezing while still full of water, an easy enough mistake the first time, expensive enough to fix that it never got prioritized after. They'd listed it for sale once early on, no serious offers, and after the outdrive cracked nobody tried again. Moss started growing across the gelcoat where the cover had torn through. What made the pickup slow was the driveway grade, steep enough near the street that our trailer needed a second vehicle bracing it from behind while we winched the boat up and over the lip where the pavement met the road. Standard tow setups would've scraped the hull on that transition. We got it up clean. Outdrive and hardware got pulled for parts, and the hull went to the recycler.
