Boat Hauling in Saint Joseph, Michigan

The call came in from a marina worker, not the boat's owner. A 16-foot aluminum fishing boat had been left tied at the ramp past the end-of-season deadline, trailer axle bent from a bad launch, one tire gone entirely. The owner had moved out of state and told the marina to deal with it however they needed to. Getting it off the ramp meant working around a public boat launch still busy with weekend traffic, so we scheduled an early morning slot before the lot filled up. We floated it onto a straight-load trailer, walked it up the ramp by hand for the last stretch since the bent axle wouldn't track straight, and had it loaded on our truck before the first fishing boats showed up. Quiet job, done before most people were awake.
