Nobody in that Gallatin house had touched the pontoon since the deck started sagging in the middle. A storm two seasons back pushed the dock loose and the boat drifted, took on water at the low end, and sat there soaking until the aluminum frame started to pit. The family had talked about selling it for parts, but a waterlogged deck scares off most buyers before they even ask about the motor. What made this one a hauling job instead of a simple hookup was the ramp itself, half the boat still floating, half grounded on submerged rock, so we had to winch it up onto the trailer before we could tow anything. Took two of us and a long strap to walk it out without tearing the pontoon tubes further. Once it was on the trailer, the rest was routine. Frame and tubes went to the recycler, the rotted decking got parted out for scrap wood disposal separately.
