A jon boat doesn't need much to become a problem, just a few years of sitting still in the same spot. This 16 ft aluminum boat had come from a family member's garage originally, moved to the driveway when there wasn't room in the new place, and gradually turned into the thing everyone stepped around rather than dealt with. The trailer tires had gone flat sometime over the winter and never got aired back up, and by the time we came out grass had grown up through the spokes on both wheels. The fix was simple, drag rather than roll, so we hooked a chain directly to the trailer frame and pulled it clear of the grass before switching over to our own straps for the final load.
