Sioux Falls, SD: 27 ft Cal Gone in One Morning

A 27 ft Cal 27 had been sitting on cinder-block stands in a Sioux Falls driveway for three seasons. The mast was corroded at the step, the boom was gone, and the fiberglass hull had started to show its age. The owner had inherited the boat from a relative and never launched it. He'd called a couple of places, got quotes that made him wince, and then found us. The trailer was jacked up on stands, not mobile, so we couldn't just haul it out. We brought a crane and a flatbed, set up in the driveway, and lifted the Cal straight onto the deck. From there it was a straight shot to our yard. The whole job took most of a morning. Once we had it, we pulled the keel, dropped the corroded mast, cut the hull down to manageable sections, and routed the fiberglass to the processor. The owner got his driveway back and a clean title transfer handled per South Dakota rules. Crews cover all of Lincoln County: Harrisburg, Tea, Canton, Beresford, Lennox, Springdale. We handle pickups same week most of the time, depending on where the boat sits and what we've got scheduled. Spring and fall get busy around here with people moving boats in and out of storage, so we plan the route to fit the season and get your 27-footer loaded without holding up the next job.
