Cape Coral, FL: 20 ft Sunbird Corsair Gone in One Morning

A 20 ft Sunbird Corsair 205 was sitting in a Cape Coral yard, cover collapsed under snow two winters back, the fiberglass starting to check. The trailer underneath had two flat tires and hadn't moved in years. The owner had bought it thinking he'd take it out on weekends. Life happened. The boat stayed. When we got there, the real problem was access. The yard was tight, and we couldn't roll the trailer out on those flats without risking damage to the hull and the ground beneath. We brought in a heavy dolly, jacked the frame, and moved it piece by piece to the street where the truck could reach. Took most of a morning. Once it was loaded, we routed it to the processor in the Tampa area where the fiberglass gets separated and recycled. The Sunbird was done sitting. We cover all of Cape Coral and the surrounding Lee County area. Most calls come in during the shoulder seasons when boats move in and out of storage, or when someone finally decides a neglected hull isn't worth keeping anymore. We can usually get a crew out same week. The marina guys know us, the HOA knows us, and the folks with boats sitting in their yards know they can make one call and be done with it.
