Coral Gables, FL: 23 ft Rinker Gone in One Morning

A 23 ft Rinker 232 with a cuddy cabin sat in a Coral Gables driveway after a storm surge pushed it off its moorings and left it beached three blocks inland. The fiberglass hull was crazed like a road map, and the trailer it came to rest on had seized hubs that hadn't turned in years. Getting it out meant working through a narrow side yard, past a concrete pad, and around a neighbor's fence line without tearing into either property. We brought a heavy rotator and a flatbed instead of trying to muscle the seized axles. Took most of a morning to break the hubs loose, secure the hull, and stage it for transport back toward Miami-Dade County. No title in the drawer, handled per the Florida rules. Once it was loaded and strapped, we routed it to the processor for cutting and recycling. Crews cover all of Miami-Dade County: Miami, Hialeah, Miami Gardens, Miami Beach, Homestead, Kendall. We pick up same week most of the time. A lot of boats move in and out of storage around here, especially heading into winter, and we've learned the routes and the marinas.
