Hauling a cabin cruiser out of a Cranston storage lot

A 24 ft Bayliner 2455 Ciera sat in a Cranston yard for three seasons. The hull had gone chalky, algae line running dark green along the waterline, and the tandem-axle trailer underneath had rusted enough that the frame was starting to sag. The owner had stopped using it years back, kept meaning to sell it, and eventually just stopped thinking about it altogether. When we showed up, the trailer tires wouldn't roll. We had to dig out and stabilize the frame before we could even think about moving the rig. The access to the driveway was tight, so we brought in a smaller recovery rig first, got chains under the Bayliner's keel, and lifted it enough to slide a heavy-duty dolly underneath. Once the weight came off those rusted axles, we could tow the whole package out to the main road and load it on the transport truck. Most of a morning for the whole job. The hull went to our processor in Providence County. Fiberglass gets shredded and separated. The trailer scrap went to salvage. Nothing stayed in the yard.
