Raising a 23 ft Rinker 232 in Crestview, FL

The 23 ft Rinker 232 had gelcoat crazed like a road map, and the cuddy hatch had not sealed in years. Rain got in, the bilge battery died, and she settled in her slip with the deck awash and the bow slightly up.
Marina rules were the complication. The office wanted the slip cleared fast and would not allow fuel in the water, and the tank was still holding gas. We sealed the vent, drained the fuel into drums before lifting anything, then ran lift bags under the hull and brought her up between the pilings.
A morning's work. The hull had too much crazing and soft deck for a repair yard, so after a tow toward Niceville she went to our yard for dismantling and recycling. The outboard came off for salvage. A tidy sunken boat recovery means the marina forgets we were there.

Crews cover Okaloosa County: Destin, Fort Walton Beach, Niceville, and Wright. Okaloosa County calls get a crew within the week. The drive south from Crestview toward the bays is long and flat, so a loaded trailer holds speed without climbing, and we pick our departure to beat afternoon beach traffic.
