Ferry Pass, FL: 24 ft Bayliner 2455 Ciera Off the Bottom in One Morning

Green algae marked the old waterline on the chalky hull of the 24 ft Bayliner 2455 Ciera, and now the line sat a foot below the surface. She had settled stern-first on her mooring after a long wet month.
The mooring pennant ran tight to the bow, so as the stern came up the bow stayed pinned. A hull can pivot and tear out the bow cleat that way. So we slacked the line before the lift, put two lift bags aft and one forward, and brought her up evenly. The crew held the pennant by hand and let it go in steps.
The job ran about two hours. This sunken boat recovery went fast because the hull was sound. The engine was flushed and started, and the owner wanted her back, so she was salvaged and went through Myrtle Grove to a repair yard. The tow to the ramp was easy.

Crews cover Escambia County: Brent, Ensley, Myrtle Grove, Pensacola. Escambia crews are never far from the water. A cruiser on a mooring is a morning job, and we normally schedule it the same week. Our trucks run the west side and cross back before the bridge traffic. Two photos and a rough depth are enough, and we confirm the day that same afternoon.
