Hauling a bowrider out of a Fort Myers salvage job

A 20 ft Galaxy 2000 bowrider sat in a Fort Myers yard, half-stripped by a previous owner who'd run out of ambition three years back. The fiberglass hull was weathered, the interior gutted, and there was no trailer underneath it. The boat had settled into the dirt, and the owner had settled into not looking at it anymore. We got the call from someone who'd inherited the problem. No title in the drawer, so we handled it per the Florida rules. The real obstacle wasn't the boat itself, it was access. The property sat tight between two older homes, and the only route to the street ran through a side yard with a low fence and a power line that didn't leave much clearance. We brought a smaller crane instead of the standard rig, positioned it from the street, and lifted the hull over the fence. Most of a morning, start to finish. The Galaxy went to the processor as scrap fiberglass. The owner got a document showing it was gone, and the yard got its space back. We cover all of Lee County: Cape Coral, Lehigh Acres, Bonita Springs, North Fort Myers, Estero, San Carlos Park. Most pickups happen same week. A lot of boats come in and out of storage facilities around Fort Myers during the season, and we know the routes. You call Tuesday, we're there Thursday or Friday. No waiting around.
