Hauling a runabout out of a Germantown storage lot

A 17 ft Glasspar Seafair sat in a Montgomery County yard for years, fiberglass chalky and soft in places, the kind of sixties runabout that had outlived any real chance of restoration. The trailer underneath it had collapsed years before, leaving the hull resting on rotted wood blocks and dirt. The boat wasn't going anywhere, and neither was the mess it sat on. Getting it out meant we couldn't just winch it up. The fiberglass was too compromised to handle the load, and the collapsed trailer meant we had to build a temporary cradle on our heavy-duty hauler before we could even think about lifting. We set up blocking, got the boat secured to the frame, and worked it out from the yard in stages. Most of a morning, start to finish. No title in the drawer, so we handled the paperwork per the Maryland documentation rules. The Glasspar went to the processor for responsible hulling and recycling. The yard got its space back. That's the end of that story. We cover all of Montgomery County: Silver Spring, Gaithersburg, Rockville, Bethesda, Aspen Hill, Wheaton. Most pickups happen same week. A lot of boat owners in Germantown pull their rigs out of storage in spring or tuck them away come fall, and we handle both moves. Whether your Glasspar is on a trailer in a driveway or sitting in a yard, we show up, load it, and haul it out.
