Raising a 24 ft Formula 242 in Hollywood, FL

The 24 ft Formula 242 cuddy cabin had stringers rotted under the cockpit floor, and over a long summer the canal took advantage. Only the cabin roof showed above the surface, with the hull pinned against a concrete seawall.
No crane could reach the spot. The yard behind the house was narrow, and overhead lines ran along the property edge. The crew worked from a skiff and used lift bags spread wide along the hull, so the rotted structure would not flex under a single point of load.
The sunken boat removal took about five hours. We pushed her away from the wall, kept her upright, and brought a flat trailer to a ramp a few streets up. Salvage of any value was limited to the outboards and the wheel. The tow to the yard took us toward Fort Lauderdale, where the hull was cut apart and recycled.

Crews cover Broward County: Coral Springs, Deerfield Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Pembroke Pines. Canal work takes a bit of planning, so we ask for a photo of the seawall and the nearest street access. After that, a same-week date is normal, and the truck is sized for the narrowest turn along the route.
