A 24 ft Maxum 2400 SCR cabin cruiser had been parked in a La Habra driveway for four years. The hull was chalked white, and the transom had gone soft where water had worked into the fiberglass. The trailer frame was so rusted that the tires had flat-spotted and the coupler had seized. The owner had bought it thinking he'd use it, then life happened. By the time he called, the boat was stuck. We couldn't tow it as-is without risking a collapse, and the driveway access was narrow, with a low power line running across the property. We brought a crane to lift the hull clear of the trailer, swung it over the power line, and set it on a heavy flatbed. The whole operation ran under an hour. From there it was a straight haul to the recycler in Orange County. The hull got cut down for processing, the trailer went to the scrap yard, and the driveway was clear.
