Hauling a fishing boat out of a League City yard

A 16 ft Smoker Craft 16 aluminum fishing boat had been sitting under pine trees in Galveston County for years, the hull stained deep green and the aluminum showing white corrosion in patches. The trailer tongue jack was bent at an angle that made it impossible to hitch to a standard tow vehicle. The owner had kept the boat thinking he'd restore it one day, but that day never came, and by the time he called us, he just wanted it gone. We showed up with a jack stand and a bed lift to handle the bent jack situation without trying to force the hitch. Got the aluminum hull secured, then pulled the whole rig onto the flatbed. The route out to Friendswood where our recycler operates took most of a morning, but the boat was stripped of any usable aluminum fittings first. The hull itself, no title in the drawer, was processed per Texas regulations and sent to the metal recycler where the aluminum gets sorted and melted down. We cover all of Galveston County: Galveston, Friendswood, Dickinson, La Marque, Santa Fe, Bacliff. Most pickups happen within the same week you call. A lot of the work we see in League City is seasonal, people moving boats in and out of storage before summer or after the season winds down. We've got the routes mapped out and the equipment staged to handle it without the long wait.
