Lincoln, CA: 16 ft Lund Gone in One Morning

A 16 ft Lund 1600 Fury sat in a driveway in Lincoln for three years. The fishing boat was aluminum, but the transom had rotted through the plywood core, which meant the hull was structurally compromised and the boat wasn't going anywhere under its own power. The trailer was still serviceable, but the real problem was access. The driveway was narrow, and the boat sat maybe thirty feet from the street with a utility line running overhead and a neighbor's fence line tight on one side. The crew unbolted the hull from the trailer frame, lifted the Lund with airbags and a dolly system, and rotated it just enough to clear the fence line and the overhead line. The whole operation took under two hours. Once we had it loaded and secured, we hauled the hull to the metal recycler in Placer County.
