Hauling a sailboat out of a Louisville driveway

This 26 ft Pearson 26 had been sitting on stands in a Jefferson County driveway for years, and the deck core had gone soft around every stanchion. Water finds a way into old fiberglass, and once it's in, the plywood underneath just turns to mush. Nobody was sailing this boat again, and the owner knew it. The mast was already down, laid alongside the hull, which helped, but the boat on stands instead of a trailer meant we couldn't just hook up and roll. We had to build a path for the trailer axles, block and cradle the hull properly, and walk it down slow so the stands didn't kick out sideways. Getting the route out of that Jeffersontown-adjacent street took some care with the rigging still attached. No title in the drawer, handled per the Kentucky page rules. Took most of a morning working it free and loaded. Back at our yard, the keel came out first, then we cut the hull down for the processor. That soft core wasn't fixing itself, and the boat wasn't going anywhere but the recycler anyway.
