Midland, TX: 18 ft Renken Gone in One Morning

An 18 ft Renken 180 bowrider had been sitting in a Martin County yard for three years. The floor was plywood that crumbled under your weight, and the trailer tires had gone to dry rot so bad they wouldn't hold air. The owner had stopped thinking about it years ago, but his neighbor in Stanton kept asking when it was leaving. The real problem wasn't the boat itself. It was the trailer. Those tires couldn't roll, and the yard was soft enough that a heavy tow rig would sink in if we weren't careful.
