Hauling a sailboat out of a Modesto storage lot

A 27 ft Catalina 27 had been sitting on wooden stands in a Stanislaus County yard for years. The standing rigging was seized solid, and the sails were still bagged but rotted through. The owner had moved on, the boat hadn't, and by the time we got the call, it was taking up space nobody wanted to give it anymore. The trailer was deteriorated enough that moving the boat on it wasn't safe. We brought our own hauler out from the yard, set up blocking and cradles under the hull, and carefully transferred the weight off the old stands. The whole process took most of a morning. Once we had it secured on our equipment, we broke down the mast and removed the keel at our facility. The hull went to the processor for recycling. The rigging and fittings that were salvageable got sorted out. Nothing wasted. Crews cover all of Stanislaus County: Turlock, Ceres, Riverbank, Patterson, Oakdale, Salida. We schedule most pickups the same week you call, and we know the seasonal patterns around Modesto well. Boats move in and out of storage facilities here year-round, and we've got the routes down to handle a 27-footer whether it's sitting in a driveway, a storage yard, or a marina slip.
