Novato, CA: 25 ft O'Day Gone in One Morning

A 25 ft O'Day 25 had been sitting on concrete stands in Novato for years, keel bolts weeping rust down the fiberglass hull in long orange streaks. The owner had moved to San Rafael and couldn't sell it, couldn't fix it, and finally decided he was done looking at it every time he backed out of the garage. The mast was already down, lashed to the boom, but the keel was still bolted in place and the whole rig was heavy. The crew showed up on a Tuesday morning with a mobile crane. We lifted the boat off the stands, pulled the keel bolts at the yard after we loaded it, and had the whole thing on the truck under two hours. The hull went to our recycling processor in Marin County, where the fiberglass gets separated from the core and the keel and hardware get sorted for scrap. No title in the drawer, but we handled the paperwork per California rules. The driveway was clean by noon.
