Pearland, TX: 26 ft Pearson Gone in One Morning

A 26 ft Pearson 26 sailboat had been sitting on wooden stands in a Pearland yard for three years. The deck core had gone soft around every stanchion, and the fiberglass was starting to separate in patches where water had worked its way in. The owner had bought it with plans to restore it, then life got in the way. By the time he called, the boat was immobilized on those stands and the trailer underneath had seized. Getting it down meant jacking the hull carefully, replacing the rotted stands with proper cribbing, and then dealing with a keel that wouldn't come free without cutting. We had the mast down before we even started the haul. Once the stands were solid and the keel removed at our yard, the crew loaded the hull onto the truck in most of a morning. From there it went to the processor in the Brazoria County area for fiberglass separation and recycling. We cover all of Brazoria County: Lake Jackson, Alvin, Angleton, Manvel, Iowa Colony, Clute. Most calls come in the same week we can pick up. A lot of boat owners in Pearland move their rigs into storage during hurricane season or pull them out in spring, and that's when we see the volume spike. If you've got a 26-footer sitting on the trailer and you need it gone, we can schedule the haul without the wait.
