San Bernardino, CA: 26 ft MacGregor Gone in One Morning

A 26 ft MacGregor 26 sailboat had been parked in a residential driveway in San Bernardino County for three years. The cabin was mildewed through, the rudder was gone, and the mast had long since come down. The trailer underneath it was still sound, which was the only thing working in our favor. The real problem wasn't the boat itself. It was access. The driveway was narrow, and the lot sat on a corner with power lines running low across the back corner. We couldn't just winch it straight out. The crew came in early, dropped the keel at our yard first, then angled the rig out through a side approach toward Ontario and loaded it sideways onto the flatbed. Most of a morning, start to finish. No title in the drawer, so we handled the paperwork per California protocol. The hull went to the processor for fiberglass recycling. Crews cover all of San Bernardino County: Fontana, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Victorville, Rialto, Hesperia. We handle pickups same week most of the time, and we see a lot of 26-footers coming out of storage yards in the high desert during spring and fall when owners shuffle boats between winter storage and seasonal slips. Call with your location and boat size, and we'll tell you the day.
