Hauling a cuddy cabin out of a Santa Ana driveway

This 22 ft Larson 220 had been parked on its trailer long enough that rainwater had backed up above the deck drain and just sat there, turning green in the cuddy cabin. The owner had meant to deal with it for a couple seasons, and by the time we got the call the fiberglass hull was holding standing water like a tub. The trailer was flat on one side, which meant it wasn't rolling anywhere on its own. We couldn't just hook up and pull, so my crew jacked the low corner, got a support under the axle, and eased it out of the driveway inch by inch until we had enough clearance to load it onto the flatbed. Route out took us past Orange before we hit the yard. There was no title in the drawer, so we handled that per the California page rules and moved on. Whole job ran most of a morning once you count the jacking and the load-out. The Larson wasn't coming back from that water damage, so the hull went straight to the processor for the fiberglass to be broken down and recycled. Crews cover all of Orange County: Anaheim, Irvine, Huntington Beach, Garden Grove, Fullerton, Orange. That 22 ft Larson in Santa Ana can usually get picked up the same week you call, no long wait strung out over a month. A lot of our Santa Ana runs happen right when someone's clearing a storage yard before the seasonal shuffle, moving one boat out to make room for another. We work around that timing, not against it.
