Hauling a bowrider out of a Santa Monica driveway

A 19 ft Reinell 190 sat in a Santa Monica driveway for three seasons after the engine block cracked from a freeze someone didn't winterize in time. The fiberglass hull was sound, the trailer held, but the boat had become a fixture nobody wanted to look at. Getting it out meant backing a heavy-haul truck down a narrow drive with a six-foot setback from the neighbor's fence. The Reinell was heavier than it looked when loaded, and the driveway angle made straight-line approach impossible. We angled the truck, used a crane arm to lift the whole rig clear, and had it secured and moving within most of a morning. No title drama, no permits. Just load, haul, and route it to the processor in Long Beach where the hull gets broken down for recycling. Crews cover all of Los Angeles County: Los Angeles, Long Beach, Santa Clarita, Glendale, Lancaster, Palmdale. We handle pickups same week most of the time, depending on the route and what we've got lined up. Santa Monica sees a lot of seasonal traffic, boats moving in and out of storage yards before summer and after the season winds down, so we keep the schedule flexible to fit the work around those patterns.
