Sunken Cabin Cruiser Recovery in Bellair Meadowbrook Terrace

Two seasons on a mooring had done their work on a 26 ft Sea Ray 268 Sundancer with a soft transom and peeling bottom paint, and a soft transom does what you would expect. It took water at the stern, and the boat settled that way until the bow pointed up.
Getting to her was the problem. A mooring is out in open water, so there was no dock to work from, and the transom was too weak to carry any lifting force. We used a work skiff as our platform and set the lift bags forward and amidships rather than aft, where the damage was. We kept the stern supported until the transom cleared the waterline.
About four hours. The tow to the ramp was slow to protect the transom. A Sundancer this soft was past repair, so the sunken boat removal ended with her going to our yard near Green Cove Springs for dismantling and recycling. Any salvage came from the engine and the drive.

Crews cover Clay County: Asbury Lake, Fleming Island, Green Cove Springs, Keystone. Moored boats need a skiff-ready crew, and that is what we send, so these calls are usually handled in the same week. The haul from the ramp runs on secondary roads, and we stage the truck before the lift starts.
