An 18 ft Sea Ray 180 bowrider sat in a driveway in Town 'n' Country with the sun-bleached cover shredded at the seams and fiberglass chalked from years of Florida heat. The trailer underneath had dry-rotted tires that wouldn't roll, which meant we couldn't just winch it onto a flatbed the way we do most jobs. The real problem was the driveway itself. Narrow, and the boat angled toward a fence line. We couldn't get a straight approach from the street. The crew set up a snatch block rigged to a palm trunk on the property line and worked the trailer out in stages, rotating it increments at a time until we had clearance. The whole operation took most of a morning. Once we had it on the truck and out of Hillsborough County, the fiberglass hull went to our recycling processor for shredding and material recovery.
