A 28 ft Bertram 28 sportfisher sat in a residential yard in Upland with both twin engines seized and the cockpit sole rotted through. The owner had inherited it years back, kept meaning to sell it, and by the time he called us the hull had settled enough that moving it without a trailer meant serious complications. We used airbags to lift the hull off its blocks, slid a custom frame underneath, and winched it onto the bed with the nose pointed toward Fontana. Most of a morning to rig and load. Once on the truck, the hull went to our San Bernardino County processor. Both engines were already too far gone to salvage, and the fiberglass was sectioned and recycled.
