Watsonville, CA: 22 ft Sun Tracker Party Barge Gone in One Morning

A 22 ft Sun Tracker Party Barge 22 was sitting in a Watsonville driveway with spongy deck boards and a bent rail. No trailer underneath it. The owner had pulled it out of storage years back, parked it on cinder blocks, and never quite figured out what came next. By the time we got the call, it had settled into the gravel and wasn't going anywhere on its own. The real problem wasn't the boat itself,it was access. The driveway was narrow, fenced on both sides, and led straight into a residential street. We couldn't back a standard heavy wrecker in without taking down fence posts. So we staged a smaller crane unit on the street, rigged the pontoon with straps, and lifted it straight up and over the fence line onto a flatbed. Took most of a morning. Once it cleared the property, the crew secured it and we hauled it back to our yard in Santa Cruz County for processing. No title in the drawer. We handled the paperwork per California requirements and moved the hull to the recycler. Driveway's clear now. Crews cover all of Santa Cruz County: Santa Cruz, Live Oak, Scotts Valley, Soquel, Capitola, Rio del Mar. We pick up most boats same week once you call. A lot of what we see in Watsonville is seasonal storage overflow, boats coming in for the winter or heading out in spring, and we've got the routes dialed in to move them in and out without the usual wait.
