Hauling a bowrider out of a Yuba City driveway

A 20 ft Galaxy 2000 bowrider had been sitting in a Yuba City driveway for three years. The previous owner had started stripping it down,gelcoat was chalky, the cabin was open to the weather, and someone had yanked the engine block halfway out and left it. No trailer underneath it, just concrete and rust stains. The boat was stuck in place, literally. Without a trailer to slide it onto, we had to bring in a marine-grade lift and a specialized dollying rig. The driveway was tight, and getting the rig positioned meant working around a fence line and a neighbor's property line near Meridian. Once we had the boat secured and lifted clear of the pad, the real job started,loading it sideways onto our flatbed in sections because the whole hull wouldn't fit lengthwise down the street. Most of the morning, start to finish. We got it to the processor in Sacramento County, and the fiberglass went into the recycling stream. The driveway got cleaned, the owner got the paperwork, and that was done. Crews cover all of Sutter County: Sutter, Meridian, Rio Oso, Robbins, Trowbridge, East Nicolaus.
