Hauling a bass boat out of a Ankeny driveway

An 18 ft Ranger 350V sat in a driveway just outside Ankeny for three years. The metal-flake hull had faded to a dull gray, the outboard was long gone, and both trailer tires had gone flat years before that. The boat wasn't going anywhere, and the owner had finally stopped pretending it would. When we arrived, the real problem wasn't the boat itself. It was the trailer. The tires were completely flat and rotted, the frame was rusted where it met the concrete, and the whole rig was sunk into the drive like it'd been bolted down. We couldn't tow it as-is without risking damage to the driveway and the trailer both. So we brought in a flatbed, lifted the Ranger off the trailer with a crane, and loaded it straight onto the truck. The trailer stayed behind for the owner to deal with later. The whole job ran under two hours. The hull went to the processor in Polk County for recycling. The fiberglass gets separated and shredded. Nothing gets wasted.
