Scrap Boat Pickup in Ankeny, Iowa

A cracked engine block ended that Glastron's boating days about four summers before we showed up. The owner listed it twice as a project boat, honest about the damage both times, and both times the calls dried up once buyers heard what a rebuild would cost against what the hull was worth. It sat under a cover through four winters after that, the cover shredding a little more each season. The driveway itself wasn't the problem, it was the neighbor's fence line running so close that our trailer had maybe eight inches of clearance on one side, so we walked the boat off its trailer by hand and repositioned before hitching up. Careful work, about twenty minutes slower than usual.
