Hauling a runabout out of a Beaverton yard

A 17 ft Glasspar Seafair runabout was parked on a residential lot in Beaverton, Washington County, and hadn't moved in over a decade. The fiberglass hull had chalked out, the cabin windows were opaque, and the engine block had long since seized. The real problem wasn't the boat itself, though,it was the trailer underneath it. The frame had rusted through in three places, and both axles had seized solid. The tires were flat and cracked so badly we couldn't roll it even an inch. We brought in a flatbed and a winch setup. The crew disconnected what was left of the trailer coupling, then positioned the flatbed alongside the boat. We rigged it carefully, pulled it straight up and over onto the deck, and secured it down. The whole operation ran under an hour. No title showed up in the paperwork, so we handled it per Oregon's abandoned vessel rules. The Seafair went to the processor in Washington County, where the fiberglass got sorted for recycling and the metal was separated out.
