Boat Recycling Near Washington Navy Yard, DC

A jet ski parked between two rowhouses draws more attention than its owner probably wants. This Sea-Doo had been left behind after an inheritance split up a small estate, tucked into a side passage barely wide enough for the trailer it sat on. It never got listed for sale, mostly because nobody wanted to deal with moving it in the first place, so it just sat collecting notices about blocking the passage. Getting it out meant threading our own smaller trailer through that same tight gap, backing in by inches with someone walking the mirrors the whole way. Once we had it hooked up, pulling it free took no time at all. The engine had corroded from sitting outdoors near the water for years, not worth saving, so the whole unit went to a recycler that handles small personal watercraft. That passage is clear now, and the neighbors can walk through again.
