One nor'easter was all it took to put that center console on the rocks below a seawall. It had been on a mooring rather than a proper slip, and the mooring line gave out sometime overnight during the storm, leaving the hull wedged sideways among the rocks by morning. The owner hadn't kept the insurance current, so once he saw the damage in daylight, there wasn't a claim to fall back on and no real appetite to pay for a repair on a boat that old anyway. The rocks themselves made rigging slow, uneven footing and sharp edges close enough to the hull that a straight pull risked tearing it further, so we worked cribbing in underneath before lifting it clear. Better part of a morning. The hull had split along the keel, past any reasonable fix, so it's headed straight to the scrapper.
