Bristol, CT: 16 ft Crestliner Gone in One Morning

A 16 ft Crestliner 1650 aluminum fishing boat had been sitting in a driveway in Bristol for three seasons. The bench seats were stripped bare, and the hull was packed with leaves and debris. The trailer underneath had a bent tongue, which meant we couldn't just hitch it to a standard tow rig and pull. The real problem was access. The driveway was narrow, hemmed in by a fence on one side and a neighbor's property line on the other. We couldn't back a full recovery truck in without swinging wide into the street. So we brought a smaller unit, offloaded a pneumatic winch, and pulled the boat and trailer straight out to the truck bed parked at the curb. Took most of a morning. No title in the drawer, but we handled the paperwork per Connecticut rules. Once it was secured and on the truck, we hauled the hull to an approved metal recycler.
