Hauling a cabin cruiser out of a Compton salvage job

A 23 ft Chris-Craft Cavalier sat in a Compton yard for years, fiberglass hull cracked along the keel strip and covered in decades of dust and debris. No trailer underneath it. The owner had bought it thinking he'd restore it, but life got in the way, and by the time he called us, the boat had become a fixture nobody wanted to look at. We showed up with a flatbed and a crane. The weight and the lack of trailer meant we couldn't just hook and pull. We had to stabilize the hull, lift it carefully to avoid opening up the keel damage further, and get it onto the bed without tearing the mounting points. The Compton crew handled the lift under an hour, then we routed the whole thing to our processor in the Los Angeles County facility where the fiberglass gets separated and recycled properly. No title in the drawer. We handled the paperwork per California rules, and the boat went from yard waste to salvage stream.
