Hauling a runabout out of a Daly City lot

A 16 ft Glastron Swinger sat in a Daly City driveway for years, its original orange metal-flake long since dulled to grey. The fiberglass hull was solid, but the single-axle trailer had bent so far out of true that the boat listed hard to one side. No title anywhere, and the owner had moved back east without bothering to sort it out. He just left it. The real problem wasn't the boat itself. It was the trailer. We couldn't winch it straight onto our hauler without risking the hull, and the driveway was tight, backing into a cul-de-sac with a fence line maybe four feet off. We had to bring a second truck, use come-alongs to level the frame enough to roll, then carefully back the whole rig out at an angle. Took most of a morning, but we got it loaded without bending anything else. From there it was straightforward. Title paperwork we handled per California rules. The hull went to the processor in the South Bay, where it got cut down for recycling. The aluminum trailer got scrapped separately. The owner got a release letter, and the driveway got its space back. Crews cover all of San Mateo County: San Mateo, Redwood City, South San Francisco, San Bruno, Pacifica, Menlo Park. We move boats out of Daly City storage facilities and driveways most weeks. Spring and fall bring the seasonal shuffle,people pulling boats out for the season or tucking them away for winter,and we handle those runs regularly.
