Hauling a sailboat out of a Goose Creek driveway

A 26 ft MacGregor 26 sailboat had been sitting in a Goose Creek driveway for three years. The cabin was mildewed through, the rudder was gone, and the owner had finally decided to let it go. The trailer underneath was still serviceable, which meant we could haul it whole instead of cutting it apart on site. That's the good news when fiberglass hasn't rotted through the keel. The real puzzle was access. The driveway was narrow, and the boat hung over the edges enough that we had to come in from the Charleston side of the property to angle the rig properly. Once we had the angle locked, the crew secured the mast (already down) and prepped the keel for removal at our yard. Load and chain-down took most of a morning. We had the hull off the trailer and routed to the processor by the following Tuesday, mast and keel separated and logged per our standard sailboat protocol.
