Hauling a sportfisher out of a Haverford salvage job

A 28 ft Bertram 28 sportfisher came to us in Haverford with twin engines that hadn't run in years and a cockpit sole so soft you could push your hand through it. The boat had been sitting without a trailer, which meant we couldn't just hook it and roll. Delaware County property, no title in the drawer, and the neighbors in Upper Darby could see straight into the backyard from their side. The real problem wasn't the boat's condition. It was the access. No trailer, concrete pad underneath, and the only way out was through a narrow side yard with a fence on one side and a neighbor's property line on the other. We brought in a marine salvage crane instead of trying to winch it, set up the lifting bridle along the keel, and got it off the pad in under an hour. From there it went on the flatbed for the haul to the processor in Delaware County. The hull got cut down and sorted for recycling. The engines came out clean, and the fiberglass went to the appropriate facility. Job done, yard clear, and the family got the documentation they needed. We cover all of Delaware County: Upper Darby, Chester, Radnor, Ridley, Drexel Hill, Marple. Most calls come the same week we hear from you. A lot of boats move in and out of storage facilities around here, especially spring and fall, so we've got the routes dialed in. You tell us the address and the size, we tell you the day, and we handle the rest.
