Joliet, IL: 17 ft Bayliner Gone in One Morning

A 17 ft Bayliner 175 Bowrider was sitting on a trailer in a Joliet driveway with flat tires on both sides and cracked vinyl on the seats. The gelcoat had faded to a dull gray, and the owner had stopped looking at it months ago. This wasn't an emergency call. It was a Tuesday morning when he decided to stop walking past it and picked up the phone. The trailer was the real problem. Both tires were flat, the wheel bearings were seized, and the driveway wasn't wide enough to maneuver a heavy wrecker into position without taking out a fence. We brought in a lighter rig first, jacked the stern up on airbags, and winched the whole rig forward about six feet into the street. From there, the main truck backed in at an angle, and we had the Bayliner loaded and strapped in under an hour. No title in the drawer, so we handled the paperwork per the Illinois rules. The hull went to the processor in Kendall County for responsible dismantling and recycling. Crews cover all of Kendall County: Plainfield, Oswego, Yorkville, Little Rock, Plano, and Na-Au-Say. We handle same-week pickups for boats in storage yards, driveways, and marinas across Joliet. A lot of our Joliet work happens in spring and fall when people move boats in and out of seasonal storage, and we've got the routes down to get in, load, and get out without tying up your property.
