Hauling a bowrider out of a Lower Merion storage lot

A 20 ft Chaparral 204 SSi bowrider had been sitting in a Lower Merion driveway for three years. The windshield frame was cracked, the upholstery had gone soft with mildew, and the fiberglass showed the wear of seasons without cover. The trailer underneath it was worse,both hubs seized solid, the tires flat and cracking at the sidewalls. Nobody was towing this thing out on its own wheels. We showed up on a Tuesday morning and assessed the route. The driveway was tight, trees on both sides, and the boat sat maybe forty feet from the street. We couldn't winch it straight out. Instead, we brought in a rotator and angled the trailer toward Cheltenham Avenue, working it out in stages. Once we had it mobile, we loaded the whole rig onto our heavy trailer and hauled it to the certified processor in Montgomery County. The job took most of a morning. The hull was cut down and separated into fiberglass, metal, and core material for recycling. Nothing went to a landfill. The owner got a document showing it was done.
