27 ft Cal Removal in Maine, IL

A 27 ft Cal 27 sat on stands in Cook County with the boom gone and the mast corroded at the step. The owner had stopped using it years ago, and it had become a fixture in the yard, slowly weathering into something he didn't want to look at anymore. The trailer was on concrete blocks, not wheels, which meant we couldn't just hook and haul. We brought a crane to lift the hull off the stands, then positioned a flatbed underneath. The weight and the corroded mast made the rigging tricky, but we got it loaded under a morning's work. At our yard we dropped the mast, pulled the keel, and cut the fiberglass hull into sections for the recycler. We cover all of Cook County: Chicago, Proviso, Elgin, Hanover, Orland, Elk Grove. Maine sits right in the middle of our regular route, so when you call about that 27-footer, we're already moving through Maine most weeks. Winter storage lots fill up fast around here, and spring brings boats in and out of facilities. Same-week pickup is standard for us. We load it, haul it out, and you're done before the season shifts.
