Inherited Boat Disposal in Morris, Illinois

After the funeral, somebody had to deal with the aluminum boat sitting behind the garage. It had come down through the family along with the house itself, and once the estate paperwork closed, storage fees on a boat nobody used started showing up as a line item nobody wanted to keep paying. The property changed hands within a couple months, and the new owners just wanted the lot cleared before they moved anything else in. Access was the sticking point, a narrow gap between the garage and a chain-link fence line that our trailer couldn't clear without folding a side mirror in first. We walked the boat out on a dolly instead and hitched it up on the open side of the driveway. Fifteen extra minutes, nothing more. Aluminum that size still has decent scrap weight, so it went to a metal recycler rather than sitting in a landfill, and the new owners got a clean side yard.
