Orland Park, IL: 24 ft Formula Gone in One Morning

A 24 ft Formula 242 cuddy cabin was sitting in a driveway in Orland Park for three years. The stringers had rotted under the cockpit floor, and the tandem trailer was rusted through at the frame. Nobody was using it, the title had disappeared years ago, and the owner just wanted it gone. The real problem wasn't the boat itself. It was the trailer. The axles were seized, the tires were flat and cracked, and the whole rig had settled unevenly on the concrete. We couldn't roll it out. So we brought in a rotator, lifted the Formula off the frame, and loaded it directly onto our flatbed while the trailer stayed behind. From there it was a straight haul to the processor in Cook County. The paperwork side was straightforward, no title in the drawer, so we handled it per the Illinois rules. Start to finish, most of a morning. The boat got cut down for scrap, and the owner got his driveway back. We cover all of Cook County: Chicago, Proviso, Maine, Elgin, Hanover, Orland. Most pickups happen same week. A lot of boats end up in storage lots around Orland Park for the winter, and when spring comes around or someone decides to sell the property, that's when we get the call. We load it, haul it out, and handle the title work so you don't have to track down paperwork months later.
