Pine Hills, FL: 24 ft Maxum Gone in One Morning

We pulled a 24 ft Maxum 2400 SCR out of a driveway in Pine Hills one Tuesday morning. The hull had chalked white across the topsides, and the transom had gone soft where water had been working into the core for years. The trailer underneath was rust through, frame sagging on one side, tires flat and cracked. The boat had been sitting there so long the owner couldn't remember why anymore. No title in the drawer. We handled the paperwork per Florida rules, and the real problem was access. The driveway was narrow, trees on both sides, and the soft transom meant we couldn't trust the trailer for highway speed. We staged a flatbed close, used a spreader bar to lift the hull off the frame without putting pressure on the weak spot, and loaded it sideways. Under an hour from arrival to departure. The Maxum went to the processor in Orange County. Hull got cut down. Aluminum and steel sorted. Fiberglass routed to the recycling facility. Done. Crews cover all of Orange County: Orlando, Alafaya, Horizon West, Apopka, Ocoee, Winter Garden. Pine Hills sits right in our regular rotation, and we handle pickups same week most of the time. A lot of the work here is seasonal, boats coming out of storage in spring or heading into it come fall, and we've got the logistics down for moving them in and out without holding up the rest of the neighborhood.
